How Do You Get The Right Size Of Condom?

When you first go looking for condoms you will find that a standardized 'size chart' simply can't be found... so you have to go by the box.

And what does it really mean if the package says "snug fit", "large" or "standard" -- compared to who, exactly? Mr.Joe Sixpack? really doesn't mean a lot to most guys...

I mean: it's not like we actually line up with our fishing buddys and compare our dorks.

So what is the actual 'Standard' size - and what condom fits it? And what if you've been told that you're 'Big'... How big is big? Was she telling the truth - or just trying to make you feel good? Did she even know what she was talking about?

To make things even more annoying, one brand's 'large' condom can be the same size as another brand's 'standard' condom... Different brands use slightly different measurements and have a variety of shapes available, so it may be a good idea to try a few brands and sizes to figure out which is the best fit.

One more thought before we get into measuring... custom sizes and shapes are available from Condomania, you can check out their Condom Wizard or download their 'Fit Kit' to see the available shapes, sizes and textures.

For finding your own condom size requirements, two measurements are needed: Length and Girth (circumference).

To find out where you fall in the penis size chart, you can measure your erect penis yourself, or for even more fun: have your partner do it!

Measure your length from the tip of the head along the upper side of the shaft to the point where your penis joins your body. For girth, measure penis circumference at the widest point using a cloth tape measure or a piece of string.

The most common erect penis length (in the United States) falls somewhere around six inches. The average or 'Standard' condom is generally six to seven inches in length and are meant to have a little extra space at the tip to allow room for ejaculation.

The average penis girth is 4.5 to 5 inches.

If your girth is above average, a standard sized condom will feel uncomfortably tight.

For someone whose penis is less than average, it's important to note that 'standard' condoms can simply fall off during sex. For these guys, a 'snug fit' condom will protect better against STDs and pregnancy, since they are less likely to fall off.

This Condom Size Chart is a very rough guide to the major brand's sizes, as stated earlier - it may be a good idea to try a few different brands and styles to get the best, most comfortable fit.

Remember: The condoms are meant to stretch a bit, these are the actual un-applied sizes...
